Meet The Team
Co-Founder & Executive Director
For the last 12 years, Amy’s focus has been sustainable finance, a combination of her 25+ years in the financial services industry and her passion for sustainability. Amy’s journey started in 1993 when she joined the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group and the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in developing countries. Her career shifted to the private sector, where she worked for several different global asset managers, including Blackrock, Natixis, and UBS Asset Management and also smaller, alternative investment boutiques. Most recently, she has leveraged her expertise in sustainable and impact investing to develop sustainability training programs for the financial services industry. With the increased demand for sustainability knowledge, she was inspired to launch SolPods. Amy’s home is in the Bay Area of California where she lives with her husband, sons and goofy Saint Bernard.

Cassie has over a decade of communications, marketing and sustainability experience working for international companies such as UBS, a global financial institution, Anthropologie, US retailer, and March of Dimes, a nonprofit leading the fight for the health of all moms and babies through research, leading programs and providing education and advocacy. While at UBS Asset Management from 2017 to 2021, Cassie was responsible for successfully driving digital marketing efforts as well as external communications to raise awareness about the firms’ sustainable investing initiative. She focused her efforts on climate aware financial solutions, a topic close to her heart. Today, Cassie has a dynamic schedule working as an ESG consultant for a global financial institution, while promoting SolPods and caring for her young daughter. She loves learning about new cultures, and enjoyed her years living abroad in Zurich, Switzerland and Lyon, France. Cassie loves being outdoors in nature and is an avid gardener and composter. She enjoys biking, cooking, spending time with her family and two adorable cats.
Amy started her sustainability journey while living in Paris in the mid-90’s. It was common for Parisians to naturally live a zero-waster lifestyle with small apartments, daily shopping trips (resulting in less food waste), utilizing public transportation and sharing resources with neighbors. Amy also worked in the Environment Directorate of the OECD and learned about sustainability practices of over 30 member countries. Once back in the United States, Amy brought that mentality with her and often spearheaded initiatives in her community to encourage recycling, thrifting, organizing beach cleanups and more. Amy has over 20 years of consumer and business-to-business marketing in Silicon Valley tech companies such as E*TRADE, Yahoo!, Box and Symantec. Amy is currently advising SolPods and is driven by a desire to make a positive impact. She understands that sustainability is not just about environmental protection but also about social and economic equity. Amy lives in the Bay Area of California with her daughter, cat Fiona and enjoys exploring local hiking trails as well as taking action to help the environment.
